What's missing in Gemini Notes ?

Disclaimer : This is my personal view after reading a report created by Gemini Notes.

So I had the chance of interviewing candidates for the role of Software Engineer. The technical round was conducted via google meet. My task was to evaluate the candidates capability in programming and try to the understand the knowledge level of the candidate in their chosen programming language ( Majority of candidates preferred python ).

Short Answer : Gemini did a great job in summarizing the entire interview, but

I read about 6-8 notes generated by Gemini and this is my view :

Being the interviewer, if I were asked to document the whole processes, Gemini eased 90 % of my tasks, saving my evening. But there were points where the context was entirely wrong. A person who's has not watched the recording of the interview process, will definitely misinterpret the narrative. So the idea of using only Gemini Notes to save time would be a very bad idea.

Now one could argue, you could definitely watch the video it and read the summary, I don't think that's really helpful at all. One could also say, well you could go through the document and fix the areas with the where the narrative is wrong. That's a very pragmatic thought. Imagine if the interview is more than an hour long and the notes generated is more than 250 words long, from a time saving perspective, not sure if that's extremely useful.

My verdict : It was really nice to have an auto generated document. One thing I was able to do is grab only the important bits and pieces and make my own version of it much quicker.
